About the Theatre
Since it opened in 1967, the Mark Taper Forum has been honored for its continuing commitment to serve the broadest possible audience. The Taper has a five- to six-play subscription season, and includes one of the highest year-round subscription figures for resident theatres in the country with annual attendance over 250,000. Forty years after first opening its doors, the Taper received a major interior renovation. This $30 million project completely replaced the building and theatrical systems with state-of-the art designs while radically improving audience amenities.

The Mark Taper Forum's Resident Company, Center Theatre Group, is Los Angeles' preeminent non-profit theatre company, and believes that theatre makes a connection that inspires you to think, dream, feel and learn.
