Throughout the course of the series, our goal is to provide a multitude of resources to help you Get Your Chops Back - learn each song step-by-step (melodies, accompaniment, instrumental techniques) with easy building blocks to help you get into the music. Receive technical training and style-specific mentoring in playing authentic Zydeco music. If needed, some music notation will also be available as well.
Get Your Chops Back (GYCB) is a series of learning workshops in a stress-free, non-judgmental environment for adult recreational musicians with prior music-making experience/basic playing skills and who have not made music for a while.
Zydeco Boot Camp:
Familiarity with reading music is helpful but not required. Kindly provide your own instrument: violin/fiddle or keyboard accordion (sorry, no other variations please).
