 Inside the Music Center featuring Spotlight Master Class Teacher, Karen Morrow

Our landmark giving level, Board of Ambassadors, plays a leading role in supporting the Music Center's Active Arts, Education and Dance programming. Members recently gathered for an exclusive and intimate evening with Spotlight Master Class Teacher Karen Morrow who led a vocal master class with former Spotlight Awards finalists Teira Church and Kelsey Porter.

 Inside the Music Center featuring Mark Morris and Grant Gershon

Board of Ambassadors members gathered at the home of Music Center board members Judy & Tom Beckmen in early May for an intimate conversation with Mark Morris, Artistic Director of Mark Morris Dance Group and Grant Gershon, Music Director of Los Angeles Master Chorale. Members heard Mark and Grant speak regarding the first-ever collaboration between the Music Center and LA Opera, L' Allegro, which features 24 dancers, the LA Opera Orchestra and Chorus.

 Inside the Music Center featuring Suzanna Guzman

Members gathered for an exclusive and intimate evening with mezzo soprano, Suzanna Guzman who performed excerpts from her award winning, one woman show, Don't be Afraid It's just Opera which to date has played to over 215,000 inner city chilren across the nation and is part of the Music Center on Tour program. The Music Center is Southern California's largest provider of arts education programs in schools that reach an average of 200,000 students, parents and teachers annually.

 Inside the Music Center featuring Ángel Corella

Board of Ambassadors members gathered for an exclusive and intimate evening with Ángel Corella, Artistic Director of Corella Ballet Castilla y León and guest artist with American Ballet Theatre. Moderated by dance historian Elizabeth Kaye, members heard Ángel speak of his childhood dancing in Spain, his time performing with American Ballet Theatre in New York and now working with his own company in Spain. The night included one-of-a kind videos and pictures of Ángel dancing throughout his career and a performance by flutist and Spotlight finalist, Mark Teplitsky.
